When I attended St. Edward’s University, I went on a one-week trip to Japan to learn more about the Japanese culture, as part of a global business ethics and responsibilities course. The trip was amazing! Everything about the country blew me away, especially the food.

Revelry on the Boulevard has barely been open for a couple of months, but it’s been a long time in the making. The space, which was converted from an old auto shop, now serves as the sister restaurant to Revelry Kitchen + Bar on Austin’s east side. The new location seats 250 and has 13 TVs, two dog-friendly patios, and a huge selection of local beer and wine.

Whenever I do a food tasting, it’s usually in a public setting. A small shop on 25th Street, a bustling dining room, or even in a commissary kitchen, surrounded by clouds of flour smoke and blazing ovens.
