Rita’s Quilt Talk Featuring Shannon Downey

Come learn the compelling story of Rita’s Quilt.

When craftivist Shannon Downey, aka Badass Cross Stitch, stumbled upon an unfinished quilt at an estate sale in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, she knew she had to finish it in honor of the original artist who had passed on. She also knew that she could not do it alone. Hear the story of what happened when 150 artists from across the country worked together to finish #RitasQuilt.

Shannon will take over our front lawn to safely tell this uplifting story. The in-person crowd will be kept small to ensure we can socially distance all chairs for everyone’s safety. We also request that all guests, speakers, and staff remain masked to ensure everyone’s safety, except when in their seats enjoying their drinks!

Additionally, Still Austin will be onsite serving their delicious Bourbon to keep everyone warm!
