Grocery Stores Open on July 4th in Austin

Most major grocery stores will remain open on July 4th, though hours may be shortened. Here’s a quick rundown so you can plan your cookout or stock up on essentials.

Aldi

Open with adjusted hours from 9 am – 4 pm.


H-E-B

All stores will be open from 6 am to 11 pm. The pharmacy will be open from 10 am to 5 pm. Curbside and Home Delivery will be open during regular hours.


Kroger

Stores are open from 6 am – 11 pm and the pharmacy from 8 am – 8 pm.


Publix

Open regular hours.


Ralphs

Stores will be open, but hours will vary by location.


Safeway

Stores will follow normal operating hours.


Sam’s Club

Open from 10 am – 8 pm.


Stop & Shop

Stores will follow normal operating hours.


Trader Joe’s

Stores will be open on the 4th of July; however, all stores will close at 5 p.m. local time, the company told USA TODAY.


Whole Foods

Most locations will be open, but store hours will vary by location.


Retail Stores Open on July 4th in Austin

Whether you’re shopping for backyard supplies, summer fashion, or outdoor gear, many retailers are keeping their doors open on the 4th of July. Still, it’s a good idea to double-check your local store’s hours.

Academy Sports + Outdoors

Open regular hours from 8 am – 10 pm.


Bass Pro Shops

Open from 9 am to 9 pm.


Best Buy

Open regular hours; 11 am – 7 pm.


Cabela’s

Most stores will be open from 9 am to 7 pm, but check local store hours.


CVS

Most stores will be open during regular hours. Pharmacy hours may vary by location.


Dillard’s

Stores will be open from 11 am to 8 pm.

One of the few national retailers that won’t be open on the Fourth of July. It will close all stores on July 4.


Banks, post offices, other government offices, and the stock market

Fourth of July is a federal holiday; banks, post offices, other government offices and the stock market will all be closed.


Post office

Closed on Thursday, meaning no mail will be delivered.


FedEx

Most of the services will be unavailable on July 4, according to the company.


UPS

They will not have pickup or delivery services on July 4, according to the company’s website. Their stores may also be closed and vary by location.


USPS

Since the 4th is a federal holiday, USPS and other non-essential government agencies will be closed.
