Peppermint Parkway
The Circuit of the America’s will come to life this holiday season with a one-mile drive-thru display of lights as well as a plaza full of music, food, and magic on select nights.
You can interact with live characters at The Parkway including dancing gingerbread men, roller-skating snowflakes, and everyone’s favorite holiday grump, the Grinch. Then, you can climb up the COTA Candy Cane, COTA’s 251-ft tall observation tower where you can enjoy views of the Parkway and illuminated Austin skyline.
This year, a new addition to the event is the opportunity to pick up your own Christmas tree from Wonder Woods. If you’re up for some food and shopping, you can visit the new Holiday Market where you can get homemade sweet treats, gifts, and holiday swag for the kids.
If you’re a race fan, you can also join the Candy Cane Cruise where you can take your own car for an exclusive parade lap on COTA’s famous 3.41 mile FIA–grade Formula 1 track.

Here, you can experience the wonderful outdoor ambiance filled with holiday cheer, holiday performances, glittering holiday lights, and plenty of family fun. The market will be open from Fridays to Saturdays.

Feel the Christmas spirit come alive at the Lost Pines Christmas Tree Lighting Party!
After the Bastrop River of Lights (which you also can’t miss), their holiday tree lighting event will kick off the rest of the Christmas festivities. Catch it at Fisherman’s Park and even expect a special visit from the big man in red.

Cranksgiving by the Austin Ridge Riders
Calling all bikers out there! The Austin Ridge Riders will be holding a day of riding, trail maintenance, and socializing at their annual Cranksgiving event.
Riding will start at 9:30 a.m. with the last laps starting around 2 p.m. With each lap you complete, you’ll earn a raffle ticket. You can also complete some of the work stations along the trail to earn additional tickets.

56th Zilker Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
Get ready to feel the holiday spirit with the largest man-made holiday tree in Austin!
Standing at 155 feet tall, the tree is made of over 3000 lights and built on one of Austin’s 17 historic moontowers. Access to the holiday tree is free and separate from the Trail of Lights admission.
Aside from the spectacular lighting of the tree, there will be food vendors and other merchants at the site to make sure you really feel the cheer of the holiday season.
