Creatures of the Night Hike

Have you ever wondered what kinds of creatures come out at night at the park? Head out this Friday night and discover all the birds, creepy crawlies, and more that like to come out when it’s dark.

Safer Together Benefit Concert

Attend a night of great music while contributing for a great cause at the Safer Together Benefit Concert! The event will help raise awareness and funds for SIMS so they can continue their work providing mental health and substance use recovery services to the music industry and their dependent family members.

The concert also aims to help spread awareness about overdose death prevention. The concert series will feature multiple performances across three locally owned-and-operated music venues including Mohawk (Indoor), The Green Jay, and Empire (Garage). The concert is free to attend but donations are highly encouraged with all the proceeds going to SIMS.

After the Bastrop River of Lights (which you also can’t miss), their holiday tree lighting event will kick off the rest of the Christmas festivities. Catch it at Fisherman’s Park and even expect a special visit from the big man in red.

The next days after that, there will be the Farm Street Opry, a country Christmas, and the Lost Pines Christmas Lighted Parade. Get ready for days of merry fun!

Get ready to feel the holiday spirit with the largest man-made holiday tree in Austin!

Standing at 155 feet tall, the tree is made of over 3000 lights and built on one of Austin’s 17 historic moontowers. Access to the holiday tree is free and separate from the Trail of Lights admission.

Aside from the spectacular lighting of the tree, there will be food vendors and other merchants at the site to make sure you really feel the cheer of the holiday season.
