STEM & Coding (The “Future-Proofer” Picks)

These STEM and Coding “Future-Proofer” camps in the Leander and Cedar Park area offer everything from high-tech robotics to hands-on engineering with recycled materials.

iCode – Leander Campus

If your child lights up at the idea of building games, coding robots, or flying drones, iCode Leander is going to feel like a playground with purpose.

Camps are thoughtfully tiered, so beginners can jump into Junior Coders while more experienced kids will take on advanced challenges like game development, robotics engineering, or even 3D modeling.

The kids will also be working inside a modern, high-tech lab equipped with gaming PCs, 3D printers, drones, and robotics kits. Add in AI-powered projects and support for Girl Scout STEM badges, and you’ve got a camp that feels both future-ready and truly engaging.

  • Part-Time / Half Day Option: No

Camp Invention

Camp Invention is a dream come true for kids who love to tinker, build, and ask a lot of “what if?” questions. Built around an open-ended maker mindset, this camp encourages kids, specifically those entering grades K-6, to think beyond instructions, try bold ideas, and grow their confidence along the way.

Camp Invention runs on a hands-on STEM curriculum developed by the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Each year brings an entirely new lineup of activities, including miniaturizing inventions, cracking codes to protect ideas, launching DIY rockets, and racing space rovers.

The curriculum also adjusts to different skill levels, so kids can jump in wherever they’re comfortable. What really sets this camp apart is its connection to real-world inventors and its focus on “invention superpowers,” helping kids solve challenges that feel meaningful and fun.

  • Part-Time / Half Day Option: No
  • 1-Week Minimum / 1-Day Sign-up: 1-Week Minimum
  • When: June 1 – July 17, 2026; 8 am – 4 pm.

If your child loves YouTube, gaming, or making videos “just for fun,” Creator Camp Cedar Park shows them how to turn that curiosity into something real.

Here, kids don’t just consume content — they create it. They’ll be learning tools like CapCut for video editing, GarageBand for music production, or green screen effects for filmmaking. By the end of the week, they’ll walk away with a polished portfolio filled with finished projects like edited videos, animations, or even their own Roblox or Minecraft games.

The camp goes by the “Radical Choice” model. Kids choose what they want to work on and lead their own creative projects, with counselors stepping in as guides, not directors. The camp also features flexible scheduling and aftercare parties that keep the energy going even after the day wraps up.

Campers can dive into projects like Minecraft modding, Roblox game development, arcade game creation, or even YouTube video editing with green screen effects. Along the way, they build logic, design, and real-world programming skills, all while having a blast.

Each week brings a new theme, like creating a Cardboard Arcade or building castles that actually move. Along the way, campers work together, test ideas, and celebrate progress, not perfection. The focus is on developing a growth mindset, helping kids understand that skills grow with effort, good strategies, and feedback, not just “natural talent.”

The approach is grounded in neuroscience and shaped by founder Kaylie Reed’s 25+ years in education, including Montessori and gifted STEAM programs. You can also enjoy flexible policies with refunds, credits, and a satisfaction guarantee built in.

Yes, waivers are required for all participants at every trampoline park. You can typically sign online ahead of your visit to save time at check-in.

3. What should I wear to a trampoline park?

Comfortable, athletic clothing is best—no zippers, belts, or jewelry. All parks require grip socks (usually available for purchase onsite) to prevent slipping and ensure hygiene.

Austin Trampoline Park Etiquette: What Every Jumper Should Know

To keep the fun safe and stress-free for everyone, follow these trampoline park etiquette rules:

  • One jumper per square: Never share a trampoline square with others—this helps avoid collisions and injuries.

  • Watch your surroundings: Always check before jumping into foam pits, dodgeball courts, or tumbling lanes.

  • No double bouncing: Don’t try to boost someone else’s bounce. It’s dangerous and can cause injury.

  • Respect height zones: Some areas are reserved for younger kids. Let them have their space to play safely.

  • Follow staff instructions: They’re there for your safety—listen to posted rules and any directions from park employees.

  • No flips unless allowed: Many parks restrict flips to certain areas or skill levels to prevent accidents.
