Common Questions about ACL Fest Weekend 2 in Austin
Is Weekend 1 or Weekend 2 better at ACL Fest?
Both weekends feature the same musical lineup and food vendors, so your choice may come down to your schedule and the conditions you’re hoping for.
Weekend 2 takes place in mid-October, when Austin can be a little cooler, though the weather is never guaranteed.
If you’re deciding between the two, compare ticket availability, travel plans, and the forecast before booking.
Can you leave ACL Fest and come back in?
Yes, but re-entry rules depend on your ticket type. According to the details provided, GA+, VIP, and Platinum wristband holders can re-enter as often as they like, while General Admission holders can re-enter up to twice per day after scanning out at the main gates.
Check the official ACL Fest rules before leaving the grounds so you know exactly what your wristband allows.
What items are allowed inside Zilker Park during ACL?
Pack smart so you don’t get held up at security. The listed allowances include empty hydration packs with two pockets or fewer, clear bags measuring no more than 12 × 6 × 12 inches, folding lawn chairs, blankets, and factory-sealed water bottles up to one liter.
Umbrellas, large framed backpacks, and outside food and beverages are listed as prohibited. Check ACL Fest’s current bag policy and permitted-items list before heading out, as rules can change between festival years.
