With weather this unseasonably warm, there’s no excuse for staying inside and binge watching Daredevil. Get out and see some live music! This week’s picks include flapper jazz, female-fronted indie pop and soulful country Merle Haggard would’ve respected. Just another weekend in the Live Music Capital of the World!

White Ghost Shivers with Jitterbug Vipers
@ C-Boy’s Heart & Soul (2008 S. Congress Ave.) – 10 p.m.
Prepare to be blasted back to the 1930’s with White Ghost Shivers, purveyors of retro jazz, swing and ragtime since the year 2000. Known for their penny arcade style and vaudevillian arrangements, this fun-filled six piece will add a playful jump to your Friday night. Also playing are swing queens The Jitterbug Vipers (on at 6:30 p.m.).
Saturday, Feb. 25
Moving Panoramas with Beams, Booher, Paris Falls and Mirrorman
@ Cheer Up Charlies (900 Red River St.) – 9 p.m.
Delicately crafted indie pop is the hallmark sound of Moving Panoramas. Rapidly rising to national prominence, this trio layers sweet harmonies on top of bouncy drum beats and guitar work. Be one of the lucky ones who can honestly say, “I saw them before they were huge.” Opening are Toronto-based alt-folk group Beams, ATX smash rockers Booher, indie act Paris Falls and Mirrorman.
Sunday, Feb. 26
Kathryn Legendre
@ Antone’s Record Shop (2928 Guadalupe St. #101) – 3 p.m.
Taking her cues from legends like Reba, Pasty Cline and Loretta Lynn, Kathryn Legendre channels honky tonk greats in her classic country sound. Tight lyrics sung with a buttery drawl, Legendre shows indie-fied Austin exactly where our roots lie.
