Austin Fireworks New Years Eve 2023 – What to Expect?
Ring in 2023 in true style at the free Austin’s New Year celebration! Join the celebration for live performances, festive foods, and fireworks. The lawn at Auditorium Shores will open at 6 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs to enjoy the evening’s festivities from the comfort of the lawn. The event will culminate with fireworks at midnight!!!

Austin Fireworks New Years Eve 2023 – Live Performance Schedule
- 7:30 pm: Emcee Trevor Scott will welcome guests and introduce the night’s first performance by Extragrams.
- 8:00 pm: El Combo Oscuro, a psychedelic-cumbia band, will showcase their talents.
- 9:00 pm: Extragrams will keep the party going with another performance.
- 9:30 pm: The “Queen of Austin soul”, Taméca Jones, will take the stage.
- 10:30 pm: Extragrams will give their final performance of the night.
- 11:00 pm: The Texas Gentleman will help the audience say goodbye to 2022 with music spanning multiple genres.
- 11:55 pm: A New Year’s countdown will start
- Midnight: An exciting fireworks show will ring in 2023.

Food from around 10 beloved local trucks will be available for purchase on-site, including the following:

*Option to buy beer, wine, and champagne will be available to guests 21 and older, in the designated beer hall.
New Year’s Eve 2023 Fireworks in Austin – How to get there?
- ADA-accessible paid parking will be available in RiverSouth Garage (entrance off Riverside Drive), One Texas Center, and Palmer Event Center.
- Attendees can reserve parking space through the event’s parking partner Pavemint for RiverSouth Garage and One Texas Center.
- Capital Metro bus service will maintain its normal Saturday-level service through 11:30 pm.
- The MetroRail will offer extended hours through 2:30 a.m. from the downtown station at the Austin Convention Center and Night Owl Services.

Austin New Years Eve 2023 Fireworks – Parking Options & Road Closures
Neighborhood road closures around the event will begin at 5 p.m. with a full bridge closure on South First Street at 10:30 p.m. Parking options include paid parking garages at Palmer Events Center, RiverSouth Parking Garage, and One Texas Center Paid Parking Garage.
Parking restrictions and enforcement will be in effect, as designated by posted signage.
