Las Calaveras

The Mexic-Arte Museum and Colectivo Última Hora are partnering up to create four large-scare fiberglass skulls. These skulls were painted by Austin-based artist Ruben Esquivel, NIZ, Carmen Rangel, and Ryan Runcie.

Check out this cool art at Republic Square. Through these pieces, Las Cavaleras highlights Mexican, Mexican American, and Black communities, as well as the Tonkawa tribe.

Luminations offers an experience where nature meets artistry with a dazzling display of lights, letting you feel the magic of the holidays.

The Central Gardens will have new light installations, immersive projections, and tasty holiday-themed cocktails.

Tickets must be purchased in advance, so be sure to visit their website to buy them for your visit.

Deck the Halls at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park

Get a bit of an education and learn how to deck the halls of your home with natural materials for the holidays.

You’ll learn how early Texans at the Sauer-Beckmann Farm prepared for the season by stringing popcorn to put on their Christmas tree. You’ll also learn how to create wreaths with local cedar and dip candles.

Fredericksburg Texas Turkey Trot

Start your day with family, fitness, and fun! Sign up for the Fredericksburg Turkey Trot for a post-Thanksgiving celebration.

You run or walk through the neighborhoods and spend some time with the community. You can bring your leashed dogs and babies in strollers in carriers.

This year, kids 11 and under can join for free if they don’t get a shirt. Otherwise, you can buy a shirt separately for $20.

This race benefits Heart of the Hills – MOM Center.
