Creative Workshop and Exhibit Reception: Saffron Snapshots
Whether you’re a photography novice or a professional with the lens, you’re invited to Saffron Snapchats.
You’ll learn how to take and edit photos with the SAFFRON Creative House members. More than that, Ashwin Suresh will be the guest artist. This videographer and visual storyteller share their experiences on how to approach creative direction, the different types of photography styles, how to use lighting and color in photos, and ways to edit in post-production.
You also have the chance to view the exhibit Artistic Redirection, ask questions, and meet talented artists.
You can simply bring a notebook or your cameras and laptops with editing software.
Second Saturday Community Workday
Spend your Saturday morning making Festival Beach Food Forest a better place. You’ll have lots to do! From planting and sowing seeds to pruning or cutting back vegetation to other site maintenance activities, you’ll find something to make great use of your time.
Don’t forget to wear work clothes and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Also, bring a full water bottle to stay hydrated. Bringing your own gardening gear and weather protection will be a wise choice too.

This spooky season, Drinks Backyard is going to be the venue for a fabulous drag show!
Hosted by Maxine LaQueene, Hallow-Queen will feature some of the fiercest drag queens all dressed up for the celebrations. Catch Ariana Venti, Devonna St. James, Kelly Kline, and Simone Riviera strut their stuff on stage.
