Austin Nutritionist Solves Health Dilemmas, One Case at a Time

February 17, 2016 by Judy Rae Merhar 2 Comments

Austin Nutritionist Team

The team at Nutritional Wisdom, L-R: Jackie Gramlich, Carly Pollack and Lauren Deaton

If you’re a fan of Nancy Drew or Hercule Poirot, you’re going to love Carly Pollack and Lauren Deaton. Both are in hot pursuit on a case of utmost importance, your health.

The stories from those who choose to walk through the quaint blue cottage of Nutritional Wisdom are as eclectic as the blue bowling ball and pumpkin sitting out front. Some individuals seek guidance to alter weight, improve skin, correct hormonal imbalance, re-align digestive tracts, lower cholesterol, improve mental clarity or simply improve overall health. I was there out of sheer frustration.

Six months ago, I signed up for kickboxing. The inspiration: my fear of heart disease (it runs in the family). In addition to my heart, I hoped to lose weight. After six months of kickboxing classes, I was encouraged to find my blood pressure improved and the loss of six inches. But over the course of one-hour workouts, 3-5 days per week, I’d only lost two pounds. My love and appreciation of wine, beer, queso and pastries were culprits preventing my weight loss. It was time to tackle my eating habits, which is how I found myself being greeted by clinical assistant, Jackie Gramlich, at a pretty blue house on Austin’s Rosewood Avenue.

Voted Best Austin Nutritionist

Nutritional Wisdom is headquartered in this inviting blue cottage at 1210 Rosewood Ave.

It’s no wonder that Carly Pollack, the spunky owner of Nutritional Wisdom, has been voted “Best Nutritionist” by readers of Austin Fit Magazine two years in a row. She embodies good health, along with her trustworthy nutritional sidekick, Lauren Deaton.

Both women have glowing skin, lush manes of hair and genuine smiles displaying rows of pearly whites. These femme fatales are intellectuals, too. They have a paper trail of education and experience in holistic health. They are passionate about uncovering the root of health concerns, while giving their clients the knowledge and tools to help correct issues.

Great piece! I can personally vouch for Carly and Nutritional Wisdom. My husband had AMAZING success working with her. He lost about 35 pounds as part of getting ready for knee surgery and has gotten in the best shape of his adult life. Plus, we cook and eat some really good food without deprivation. You can read about his journey here: http://leahruns100.com/2015/06/22/finding-workout-motivation-at-home/
