Austin is scattered with food trucks and truck parks in almost every corner. From Discada’s one-of-a-kind tacos to Dee Dee‘s mouth-watering sticky mango rice, these trucks serve almost every cuisine imaginable. But did you know dessert is covered, too? We’ve combed the city to come up with this list of five food trucks where dessert steals the show!
Thank you to Nuha’s and Saperlipopette for the complimentary tastings. All opinions are my own.
1/ Nuha’s Sinful Desserts
Owner and chef, Nuha Yaghi, shares her childhood love of cookies through her little truck on Barton Springs Road. She spends a lot of time perfecting her Sinful Desserts, which are warm and gooey cookies. They come in seven different flavors inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins. And boy, are they good! Try the classic chocolate chip cookie, aptly named Pride; or Greed, a delicious s’mores cookie with a melty, perfectly browned marshmallow in the middle.

2/ Saperlipopette
Have you ever had a real French crêpe? No? Well, then I suggest getting yourself over to Saperlipopette quickly!
Born and raised in France, Jean-Baptiste serves the most buttery, melt-in-your-mouth crêpes you will ever have (outside of France, at least). Though the truck serves savory options called gallete, the sweet crêpes steal the show. Try the La Pompote for the perfect combination of apples and caramel. Or keep it classic with La Beurre Sucre, a simple crêpe with butter and sugar.
Go to Saperlipopette for the crêpes and stay for Jean-Baptiste’s stories about France.

3/ Taco Sweets
Should it come as a surprise that an ice cream taco is a real thing in Austin? Heck no! Our taco-loving town can have tacos for dessert, thanks to Taco Sweets.
The truck, run by DeShawn Scott and Jessica Wareham, has been stuffing fresh-made waffle tacos with ice cream for a little over a year. The sizable desserts come in chef-created combinations like The Cookie Monster and Breakfast Taco.
Or you can choose to DIY a dessert taco to satisfy whatever you’re craving. Select from a variety of favorite flavors, add syrup if you want, and top off your dessert taco with as many toppings you want. The toppings range from cereal to candy, and cookies with loads of extras like chocolate chips.

4/ Manolis
Manolis can safely be declared the Austin mecca for dessert lovers. Cool off with some fresh gelato, made right there in the truck. Or head over for an espresso, and try one of the many European-style pastries also created in-house. Manolis even serves pops in a range of flavors.
And if none of those options float your boat, then try the delicious shakes or Italian ice. The expansive menu is impressive, to say the least, and guaranteed to include something for everyone.

5/ Cold Cookie Company
Cold Cookie Company serves fresh-baked cookies and locally-sourced ice cream in many different forms, like sandwiches, floats, or just scoops. Next, you get to pick an ice cream flavor, add some toppings, and–voíla–a delicious cold treat is ready to be demolished!
