Austin’s Oldest Film Festival aGLIFF Announces Program Selections for PRISM 34

Austin’s oldest film festival, aGLIFF (All Genders, Lifestyles, and Identities Film Festival), announces the program selections for PRISM 34 that will be held from August 26 to September 6, 2021, in both in-person as well as an online form. The 34th annual film festival has over ninety movies, including documentaries, features, and shorts. Additionally, it will also host exclusive festival events and screenings, online film streams, entry to in-person and online artist conventions, questions and answers, and other festive activities.

Set in 1979 Britain, this is a story about a generation of outrageous teenagers, working-class and art school kids, who would define the look, sound, style, and attitude of the 80s and beyond.

This one is about Champagne Horowitz Jones Dickerson White, a charismatic stripper, who finds herself in problems after her half-sister and fiancé are murdered. Champagne takes the matter into her hands when the cops refuse to investigate.

PRISM 34 will also feature a special “advanced screening” of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, the film adaptation of the award-winning musical from London’s West End. It will be played for an in-person special screening.

What else?

Other events are the festival include,

  • “The Big Queer Quiz Thing LIVE!”: Social event at Austin Eastciders Restaurant & Bar or home online
  • Drive-In & Drag in-person only closing weekend, an after-screening drag experience with a drag show hosted by Austin drag icon Nadine Hughes in an open-air dance hall exclusively at Pioneer Farms.
  • Online event hosted by Tupperware lady Dixie Longate for an interactive “aGLIFF Happy Hour with Dixie Longate.”
