North Austinites, Austin families and foodies, there’s a new farmers market for your visiting enjoyment!
Located under beautiful shade trees at the Arboretum, the Great Hills Open Air Market is open every Sunday from 9 AM-1 PM.
Founder Eddie McLean started a successful market in Cedar Park, and Great Hills Open Air Market is based on that model. These aren’t your typical farmers markets.
What to See at Great Hills Open Air Market
When you visit the Eddie’s market at the Arboretum, you won’t find yourself wanting to leave as soon as you see all the vendors. Especially if you have kids. Great Hills Open Air Market features:
- Live music
- Face painting
- Bounce house
….in addition to the staples of a wonderful farmers market: locally grown fruit and vegetables, original art, handmade crafts, baked goods, ready to eat food and more.
And the Great Hills Open Air Market is just getting started. Don’t be surprised if pony rides and a petting zoo appear at some point!
Special Opportunity for Local Vendors
Vendor spots at Great Hills are unbelievably affordable. Spots are just $25, unless you’re selling ready to eat food. In that case, your spot would be $40.
You can even show up on the day of the market and possibly get a space to sell your food or wares, for $10 extra.

Great discovery on my way to Whole Foods, which was closed due to electrical problems. Plenty of parking- great organic produce and unique handcrafts. Can’t wait until next Sunday.
