Akins FFA Plant Sale at Austin ISD

Akins FFA Plant Sale will be March 26 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

We will have tons of varieties and species to choose from including, young and mature plants. From succulents to hanging baskets for indoor and outdoor, potted plants and plants to begin your own veggie or herb garden.Please come support our students and our program especially in this yearly Akins FFA Plant Sale.Plants will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Masks will be required and social distancing will be enforced. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Keeping the Pease Yoga at Pease Park

Join our free yoga in the park, Keeping the Pease, led by Vivian Lee!

About the Gentle Flow + Breathwork class (60-75 minutes): We’ll start out by moving intentionally and slowly to build our mind-body connection and awareness. Then, we’ll move into a traditional breathwork practice (lying down) to cultivate inner peace and clarity. While this practice is suitable for all levels, the breathwork practice should be done with less intensity if you’re pregnant or experiencing any heart trouble (more guidance provided during class).

About Vivian: A certified yoga and breathwork teacher, Vivian loves sharing these practices with others for both physical and spiritual benefits. Vivian is a native Austinite who’s recently returned home and can be found working with nonprofits and social enterprises, exploring our trails, stand-up paddling and eating all the breakfast tacos.

Sound Bath in the Treehouse at Pease Park

The Future Museums’ Healers Ensemble will perform a Sound Bath in the Treehouse at Kingsbury Commons from 5pm – 7pm.

Brought to you by Aural Canyon and Pease Park Conservancy, these healing sounds are free for park visitors to enjoy! You are welcome to hang in the top of the Treehouse and enjoy the music for a while (we will monitor the number of people in the top of the Treehouse to ensure that it does not exceed capacity).

If you would like to reserve a spot to listen to the music in the bottom of the Treehouse where the performers will be, you can register for a spot here.
