El Chile Is Ready When You Are with Delicious Appetizers and Desserts

Cravings for Mexican food strike me regularly, but I’m selective when it comes to adding local Mexican joints to my go-to list.

When Bryan from El Chile invited us to stop by and give the weekend dining experience a try, I obliged with an open mind.

Founded right here in Austin, El Chile has two locations:

  • Original location at 1809 Manor Road
  • Second location at 1816 South First Street

Soon, Cantina El Chile will open across the street from the Manor location. Cantina will serve hand-crafted drinks and appetizers, and the space will also be available for events.

Local foodies in Austin have always had it a little easier than likeminded folks in other cities – for at least as long as Whole Foods has called the city home. But however “local” Whole Foods may be, its corporate product packaging has failed to sit well with certain Austinites.
