These days, the term “Austinite” is almost synonymous with “foodie.” For myself and many of my friends, having fun often means eating food. That being the case, my plans are now solidified for the evening of April 15, 2015. Maybe yours will be too!
From 6-9 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, the South Shore District will host their annual Food and Fun event, complete with tasty food trucks, local tunes and great company. The best part? It’s free and open to the public.
What to Expect at Food and Fun
This all-ages event will feature a delicious array of local food trucks, including Burro Cheese Kitchen, Coolhaus, Ironwood BBQ, Garbo’s Lobster Truck and Chilantro BBQ.
Beer will be available for purchase from neighboring Buzz Mill and music will be provided by the Dub Academy, a nonprofit school for the electronic arts.
South Shore District
The South Shore District is a mixed-use space complete with residences, commercial spaces and restaurants, located near the downtown boardwalk and hike and bike trail off East Riverside.
Jeff Gray, president of Grayco Partners (the group who developed the area) says the “South Shore District is excited to present another event that is fun for the community with great music and delicious food…Food & Fun will be a time for us to invite everyone to come together and also a great opportunity to show off the exciting evolution and development of South Shore District.”
So if you’re looking for something to do next Wednesday, look no further. Come out to Food & Fun – you won’t be disappointed!
