Hey there, Austin! Welcome to another episode of the Austinot Music Podcast. Today I have the good fortune of featuring another Austin transplant like myself. Our featured artist is Joshua Martin. Joshua is a singer/instrumentalist/songwriter who recently settled down in the Live Music Capitol.

Joshua Martin is originally from Dallas, Texas. There he honed his skill at the guitar, having played for years. In fact, in one of his songs, he refers to himself as “the kid with the guitar.”

No doubt his early exposure to music played a huge role in Joshua’s life. He learned how to express himself through song up north, then brought his highly-emotional indie rock down to Austin for us to enjoy.

All of Joshua’s music is written and recorded in his home studio. It’s his base of operations as he gets settled here in the city and branches out to different venues across town. You may have seen Joshua play here and there as he gets his feet wet in the city. If not, you’ll have the chance during his upcoming fall tour.

Joshua self-released an EP last summer entitled “We Come From Kings.” He is is currently working on a music video to accompany the single he’s promoting.

Check out Joshua’s Reverbnation page for more songs and information. That’s where you can message him directly and learn more about his upcoming projects.

@DustyVegas asks:

What do you think of Joshua?
