Why Should You Invite the Austinot?

Let’s face it. Austin packs a bajillion awesome places into a relatively small area, and it’s just impossible to know about them all.

That’s where you can help us out.

By using the Invite form on our site, many local businesses have invited us out and allowed us to discover Austin secrets that we never would’ve known about otherwise. We’ve rounded up a few of them for today’s podcast episode. Have you been to these places?

  1. American Bingo Gringo in Austin

The Bingo Gringo sings karaoke at American Bingo

American Bingo – This is more than your grandmother’s game. American Bingo creates a friendly environment with food and giveaways, like iPads and gas cards. Plus, the dollars you put down to play go to charities. Scotish Rite Dyslexia Center, Home Builders Association of Central Texas and many other charities are supported by American Bingo, and by you when you visit. We liked bingo before, but we were surprised by our experience at American Bingo. From karaoke to streamers and confetti, this bingo hall is the liveliest we’ve ever seen! 1919 East Riverside Drive – Website

  2. Corona Cafe Operated by Teens in Austin

The owners of Corona Cafe: Kesley, Austin and Sunny White

Corona Cafe – We never would’ve found this place if we weren’t blessed enough to get invited. Corona Cafe is run by teenagers, loosely supervised by their parents. This family-owned  and operated business serves up fantastic iced coffee and a constantly fresh menu. The Peach Mimosa Turkey Sandwich is my personal favorite. 1215 Corona Drive – Website

  3. TRIO Restaurant Austin Four Seasons

    Gulf Ceviche at TRIO Restaurant

TRIO Restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel – Through August 31st, dine at TRIO Restaurant and 10% of your bill will go to local charities. The giving is facilitated by I Live Here, I Give Here, a local organization that connects Austinites with over 300 Austin charities. But there is a secret phrase you need to use to donate your 10%. Make sure you listen to our podcast episode to find out what it is! 98 San Jacinto Boulevard – Website

  4. Cryo Studios of Austin – We were recently invited to Cryo Studios and haven’t made it out yet, but we can’t wait. How would you like to burn 500-800 calories after just 3 minutes…of standing still? No, it’s not a miracle. It’s cryotherapy. If you can take exposing your skin to some crazy cold temperatures, you’ll reap cosmetic and medical benefits. At least that’s what they say. We’ll report back when we’ve made our visit! 6836 Bee Cave Road, Bldg 2, Ste. 101 –  Website

What about you? Are you affiliated with a special spot that you want to Invite the Austinot to? We’d love to hear from you. Visit our Invite page to learn more and connect with us.
