We did our research and put together a list of 8 local Austin restaurants that feature unforgettable happy hour burgers.
1/ Hillside Farmacy
I wouldn’t be sad if I had to sink my teeth into Hillside Farmacy’s burger and malt fries every day. The restaurant is definitely enables an enabler by offering the pair during happy hour for $12.
Bonus: Go in on Tuesday for an “adult happy meal” to get the burger, fries, and an old fashioned for $15!
Happy hour is 3 to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

2/ Hopdoddy
Beer and burger enthusiasts. rejoice. Hopdoddy recently rolled out a Brew Burger series, where the culinary team creates a special burger and beer pairing every month. Pairings are only $5 during happy hour!
July 2018 brings the Sweet Carolina as the Brew Burger special. It’s a delicious, pulled pork patty covered in backyard slaw and a Saison Carolina Gold BBQ sauce, paired with a pint of Strange Land Saison.
Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

3/ Loro
Where there’s Aaron Franklin, there’s damn good brisket. Tyson Cole and Franklin’s brainchild restaurant, Loro, recently added a happy hour that features the Loro Burger. It’s a delicious patty made with Franklin’s famous brisket and smoked bavette, topped with mouth-watering red onion brisket jam, muenster, jalapeño aioli, and butter lettuce. The Loro Burger is only available during happy hour for $8, so hop over to try it.
Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 2:30 to 5 p.m.

4/ Péché
When you’re hungry enough to eat a whole cow, head to Péché to gobble up the Half Pound Burger. The beef patty comes piled high with gruyere and bacon, plus fixings. Usually $18, catch a meat lover’s dream for only $9 during happy hour. I suggest ditching the fork and knife and getting up close and personal with this jumbo burger.
Happy hour is all night Sunday (5 p.m. to 2 a.m.) and Monday (4 p.m. to 2 a.m.), and 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Friday.

5/ Second Bar + Kitchen
Second Bar + Kitchen’s Congress Burger has been a favorite of mine for a while. The fantastic brisket and chuck patty comes covered in gruyere, shallot confit, greens, tomatoes, and horseradish pickles. Try it with a glass of wine, beer, or a cocktail during happy hour for only $10.
Happy hour runs from 3 to 6 p.m. daily.

6/ The Peached Tortilla
The Peached Tortilla not only boasts killer deals on libations during “social hour,” but it also features a finger-licking good burger. The Social Burger, a 6-ounce beef patty covered in peached sauce, American cheese, miso caramelized onions, lettuce, and Japanese pickles, is available for $7 during the eatery’s happy hour.
Social hour is 5 to 7 p.m. daily.

7/ Wild Chix & Waffles
When you need a hump day treat, head over to Wild Chix & Waffles for Waffle Wednesdays, and try out a clucking good waffle burger. Specials change monthly, with the following $5 options coming up this month:
- July 11 – Gone Bananas
- July 18 – Don’t Tell Mama
- July 25 – Waffle Nachos
Enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine from co-located Factory Cafe, and rid Wednesday of the blues.

8/ District Kitchen + Cocktails
If you were one of the lucky few to have gotten your hands on District Kitchen’s Umami Melt, then get excited. It’s back for the month of July! The final burger on our list is outside the typical happy hour budget, but consider spoiling yourself with a special treat. This shiitake mushroom and wagyu beef burger is topped with a special Japanese island sauce, pickled bok choy, cucumbers, and Delice de Bourgogne cheese from Antonelli’s, then served in a Hawaiian bistro bun.
If you haven’t had a chance to try it, run over to District Kitchen + Cocktails or sister restaurant Oasthouse during happy hour to relish this burger for $17.
Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 7 p.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
