Austin Humane Society to Host Drive-Thru Pet Food Pantry Event

The Austin Humane Society will help struggling pet parents affected by the ongoing health crisis by distributing thousands of pounds of food at our next Pet Food Pantry, from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, October 23rd. Due to the overwhelming response, this drive-thru event will not be held at our shelter – it will be held at the future home of AHS: 7625 N Interstate Hwy 35, Austin, TX 18752 (currently Red Rocks Church).

Food will be distributed on a first come, first-served basis. Guests should enter the Red Rocks Church parking lot at 7625 N Interstate Hwy 35 from the frontage road next to the Hampton Inn. Signs will direct attendees through the drive-thru process. Guests are asked to remain in their vehicles as AHS staff members and volunteers provide contactless delivery of the pet food requested.  For more information, please email petfoodpantry@austinhumanesociety.org or call 512-685-0118.

This event would not be possible without the partnership of H-E-B Helping Here, Walmart Foundation and our friends at Red Rocks Church. To date, AHS has distributed more than 100,000 pounds of pet food through our Pet Food Pantry series, which was launched in May of 2020.
