Austin Entrepreneur Fights for Customer Service with Comnio

Posted on July 30, 2015 by Adrienne Albregts

Comnio Customer Service Support

Quit whining on social media and get your issues resolved through Austin business Comnio

Editor’s Note: Comnio has gone in a new direction since the publication of this article.

If you’ve ever compared waiting on hold with Time Warner to being submerged in the fiery depths of hell, keep reading. A startup in Austin called Comnio is changing the way you handle bad customer service.

Unsatisfied?

Run into bad customer service? Tell us and we’ll resolve it – for FREE. https://t.co/AP37HEuUg5 pic.twitter.com/bojN6uSgPe

Netflix. I shudder at the thought of reactivating my account. But I also feel shamefully left out when my friends talk about Orange is the New Black. See, I got in a yelling match with a customer service rep at Netflix. And I lost.

We’ve all been there. Just check out #CustomerServiceFails on Twitter if you’re into pity parties. Poor customer service is a time suck you just don’t need.

Customer Service, On-Demand

Austin born company Comnio allows you to log a complaint online about any company, anywhere, and move on with your day. Never again will you be required to fill out a lengthy feedback form, hunt down a manager or totally lose your cool when a company does you wrong.

Here are some other benefits Comnio offers:

  • Available 24/7
  • You’ll never wait on hold again
  • You won’t get “passed around” to another department
  • It’s 100% free for consumers
  • Live “Issues Feed” to view other people’s problems and resolutions

How It Started

Austinite Ross Clurman was sick of bad customer service experiences. A walk-out worthy wine bar experience on 2nd Street inspired him to start Comnio. “They gave me every excuse they could come up with, but no one should wait two and a half hours for service.”

Clurman launched Comnio in Austin because it’s a great market for accomplishing something significant in the greater scheme of things. “There’s so much diversity and tech talent here.” And speaking of talent, Clurman’s team has more patience than a pack of hippies on a yoga retreat. “It’s either you or us on hold fighting to resolve your issue.”

Good point, Clurman. Austinites don’t have time to be on hold – there are too many music festivals and weird things to check out.

Better Service Awaits

Lookup world-class #customerservice in the dictionary, I’ll bet you’ll see @comnio in the description. The guys have set the bar high again!

The Comnio team is currently working on a mobile app that puts Yelp to shame. It will use patent-pending technology to help you avoid places known for bad customer service. The data will come from authentic customer feedback verified and submitted through Comnio’s app. This solves the issue of fake reviews.

There really is no excuse for bad customer service anymore, and it’s really no shock that an Austinite is solving the issue of issues.

To try it for yourself, visit comnio.com.
