SUMMARY:Conspirare Christmas 2020
DESCRIPTION:Begin the holidays with songs that go deep with love, courage, and hope. Artistic Director Craig Hella Johnson curates this beloved concert bridging everyday songs with seasonal favorites that speak to our hearts.  This year’s Conspirare Christmas will feature surprise cameos and is a unique virtual choir offering created in the spirit of connection through music. Please visit the event webpage for guest artist updates.\n \nThis performance is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Russell Hill Rogers Fund for the Arts.\n \nThis project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department, Texas Commission on the Arts, and National Endowment for the Arts.  We are grateful for the support of our In-Home Concert Sponsors listed below.\n \nThe concert is approximately one hour.\n \nIn this first Conspirare virtual concert exploration, 39 singers and instrumentalists recorded and filmed their performances from their homes across the country. Director Andrew J. Timm and his team bring these performances together to create a unique Conspirare experience, complete with a virtual amphitheater. Artistic Director Craig Hella Johnson’s program intimately connects us as we journey through a broken world to find ourselves together, however far apart we may be. Join the singers of Conspirare as we step out of our fragmented world into a place where we can gather together in unity.\n \nThis project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department, Texas Commission on the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.\n \n
