One of the things I can’t stand is hearing about awesomely fun events the day after they happen. Maybe you can relate.
I recently learned about Hubvine, a calendar program that allows members to create a community calendar and invite others to post their own events to it. Hubvine was kind enough to allow us to use their system at no charge because they know we have an active community in Austin that loves great events!
So I’m asking for your help. We have our calendar up on The Austinot, but it could really use some love. If you are an event organizer or there’s an upcoming Austin event that you’re excited about, why not add it to our Austin community calendar? It’s totally free publicity for you and your event.
Does Your Event Fit the Bill?

Give Carnival Brazilerro some calendar love
Here are examples of the types of events I’d love to see on our calendar:
- Meetups
- Sporting events
- Concert series
- Networking events
- Film screenings
- Volunteer opportunities
- Kid-friendly events
- Museum exhibit openings
I dream of having the best Austin community calendar in the city, a go-to resource that you can always rely on.
Ready to Get Started?

What about the Austin Farmer’s Market? It wants to play too
If you’re ready to submit an event to our Austin community calendar, here’s what you have to do:
- Create a Hubvine account. Remember, it’s free.
- Become a member of the Austinot’s calendar.
- Submit your event!
Once you’ve submitted your event, one of our admins will need to approve it before it shows up on our site. But assuming that it’s a non-spammy event that would appeal to a fair portion of our community, we’ll approve it for sure!
Comment with any questions, or to double-check whether your event is a good fit for our calendar. And thank you for your participation!
